Beyond the Signature: Designing Spaces for Learning and Growth – Together

Learning Expeditions are our signature. But for organizations like Baker Hughes, L'Oréal, and Swiss Life, we're also the partner they call to reimagine their leadership strategy, architect year-long journeys, or transform a high-stakes gathering into a moment that actually matters.

When people hear “WDHB,” they often think of Learning Expeditions or our iconic Leadership Experiences. And for good reason. These signature solutions have helped thousands of leaders make the world their classroom or step into metaphor-rich environments to embrace timeless leadership lessons.

But while those solutions are what you know us for, they are far from all we do.

For years now, some of our most loyal and forward-thinking clients – organizations like Baker Hughes, Benefit Cosmetics, Hyatt, L’Oréal, LVMH, NEEA or Swiss Life – have engaged us in quieter but no less impactful ways: not just to deliver content, but to co-create it. Not just to facilitate, but to strategically shape.

Today, as organizations face tighter budgets and mounting pressure to show relevance, coherence and ROI from their learning efforts, these more intimate collaborations become even more valuable.

Supporting the Full Lifecycle of Executive Learning

While our signature experiences may be the most visible, many of our clients engage us earlier – and stick with us longer. That’s because we have the flexibility to support many of the facets of executive learning and strategy development, from foundational insight to purposeful delivery and meaningful reinforcement, together or individually. Here’s how we do that:

Insight & Strategy: Clarifying What Matters

When a leading consumer goods company sought to reimagine its leadership development strategy, our team partnered with them to design a fresh, future-focused approach. Through a multi-phase process, we combined external benchmarking with internal interviews and cross-functional focus groups to uncover what their leaders truly needed. Together, the project crew then synthesized these findings into a report on the future of leadership. This report laid the foundation for our co-creative process, identifying 35 ideas and helping internal stakeholders turn these into a sharp, actionable roadmap.

Architecture & Journey Design: Creating Coherence Across Experiences

Global brands trust us to design full leadership journeys for their critical talent pools – some of which we lead end-to-end, others where we focus on  the deeply human moments. In one case, a client asked us to co-designed an entire experience. However, our team supported on-site only for onboarding, kickoff and one of three central modules – allowing space for industry peers that were better suited to achieve the aims in that context. Whether it’s the spine of the journey or a single vertebra, we bring alignment, intention and rhythm to the learning arc so that you can excel.

Activation & Event Architecture: Building Transformational Touchpoints

Across industries, clients call on us to help make executive or alumni gatherings more than just routine meetings, where even the coffee breaks shine with excitement and engaging moments of reflection.. Every year, we help our clients shape key moments by creating new thematic narratives, clarifying messaging hierarchies, identifying and briefing keynote speakers and designing impactful participant engagement before, during and after the event. Our team supports everything from the agenda flow to the energy in the room – making sure that these moments land, linger and link to the bigger strategy.

Sustainability & Learning Integration: Designing for Long-Term Impact

Sometimes, clients old and new simply want our take on their content. We recently partnered with a luxury house to build out an immersive, internal certification experience for their comprehensive new client care approach. The result blended experiential learning with on-the-job application – embedding learning into both brand and operations. For a public-sector organization, our team created a modular e-learning curriculum to support capacity-building at scale. Whether physical or digital, our clients thrive with custom designs that support sustainability, scalability and resonance.

Each of these projects reflects our core approach: plugging into your world, building from your reality and co-creating a plan that gets you where you need to grow.

Need to energize your curriculum, reimagine a high-stakes event or build a truly transformational learning experience? We’re your creative companion, from big ideas to flawless execution. And we show up in the ways that work best for you.

Sometimes we lead. Sometimes we follow. Always, we collaborate. Let’s talk about what you need to build next.

What are the benefits of Experiential Learning?

Experiential learning brings the real world and learning concepts together. Participants are placed in a situation with real-life context and high authenticity and are challenged to live through it for themselves. Based on this first-hand encounter, they reflect and develop ideas that are applicable for their unique leadership and organizational objectives. The outcomes of experiential learning are characterized by higher relevance, increased buy-in, broader ownership, and more sustainable impact.
