Swiss Life partnered with WDHB to enhance the Key Persons Programme, the company’s cross-divisional leadership journey connecting senior leaders from across the Group. The collaboration culminates with the annual Shaping the Future Day — a high-impact summit that strengthens community, showcases new insights, and aligns leadership around future priorities.

Challenge

Swiss Life sought to ensure that its flagship leadership programme not only develops individual capability but also keeps generating tangible strategic value for the organisation. The ambition is to continuously link development with foresight and collaboration — transforming learning journeys into a shared engine for innovation and cultural alignment.

Solution

Each year, WDHB co-defines the programme’s thematic focus, curates the Learning Expedition, and supports the Shaping the Future Day — an annual summit uniting leaders, alumni, and executives. Our contribution spans concept design, content creation, event architecture, and facilitation training, ensuring every touchpoint reinforces strategic connection and shared purpose.

Learning Expeditions have been consistently rated as a highlight of the Key Persons Programme. It allows participants to raise contextual awareness, explore new and best practices, build empathy amongst each other and expand their understanding of leadership roles from a personal, organizational and strategic perspective. Ultimately, it turns them into a network of valuable change agents to the organization. This component will continue to address topics high on the company’s priority list while becoming more co-created and integrated with other modules.
